Celebration Stem Cell Centre Attains Internationally Recognized AABB Accreditation

GILBERT, AZ (August 26, 2013) –Celebration Stem Cell Centre (CSCC), a hybrid public and private umbilical cord blood bank, stem cell contract manufacturer, and stem cell research facility, announced that it has obtained AABB Accreditation, which demonstrates CSCC’s commitment to quality and assures that the highest quality of cellular therapy products are manufactured at CSCC.

The AABB Accreditation process strives to improve the quality and safety of collecting, processing, testing, distributing and administering blood and cellular therapy products. The program consists of a comprehensive assessment of the quality and operational systems in place within the facility on the basis of standards, Code of Federal Regulations and federal guidance documents.

Dr. Jeffery Schriber has over 20 years of experience in stem cell transplantation. In addition to serving as the CSCC Medical Director, he is a former Assistant Professor of Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and is currently the Medical Director of the Cancer Transplant Institute at the Virginia Piper Cancer Center in Scottsdale. He has published extensively in the field and has been involved in numerous research studies in the field of transplantation. He is a past member of the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplant board of directors and is a current member of the Advisory Council on Blood Stem Cell Transplantation.

Dr. Todd R. Flower has 10 years of experience in stem cells and stem cell banking.  In addition to serving as the Laboratory Director for CSCC he is a former Professor of Biology and Natural and Applied Sciences, served as the Laboratory Director for 2 other stem cell banking and research facilities, and performed numerous research studies.
